Story pt. 3

Scotty landed on the hard dirt road with a loud THUMP!  and he felt a short yet severe pain shoot through his left arm. Slowly Scotty sat up and turned around, his dagger pointing straight at his attacker. Suddenly the person sat up like a flash and pointed a dagger at Scotty’s neck. It appeared to be a small boy. No older than the age of seven at the least. He had short brown hair and bright green eyes that shimmered in the sunlight.
“Who are you?! What do you want?!” The boy asked with an angry tone.
“I can start by asking YOU the same question,” Scotty replied.
“Very well,” The boy started. “My name is Ahayaki. I am seven years old and live in small village of Contonetaki. I am training to be a hunter for my tribe and when i grow up i want to be the chief.”
“Interesting,” Scotty stroked his chin as if he had a beard there. “My name is Prince Scotty Scatterkoff. I am fourteen years old and live in the grand palace of the kingdom of Zilloplaq. I am training to be a knight and when i grow up i am going to be king.”
Ahayaki’s eyes widened with shock then he suddenly bowed awkwardly.
“I am sorry, forgive me highness!”
“No please don’t worry about it!” Scotty sighed. “i hate it when people bow down to me.”
“Forgive me a thousand times over.”
Scotty ignored him. “Why are you tackling me anyway?”
“He is after you!”
“who?”
“Amaya!”
“What’s a maya?”
“No! Amaya! he wanders the woods killing any trespassers on his territory!”
“Wow… these people really have problems..” Scotty thought to himself.
“We must come to my village! You are safe there! You must meet my father!”
Scotty sighed. “okay very well, but i have to get a move on. i am on a quest.”
“A quest!” Ahayaki’s eyes shined with excitement. “what kind of quest?”

On their way to the village Scotty told Ahayaki all about his quest to rescue a beautiful princess. Soon they reached the village.
“Here we are!” Ahayaki said “My big village!”
He was right it was big. Very big. Ahayaki shouted something in gibberish (at least to Scotty it seemed that way,) and instantly a woman ran up and grabbed the reins of Felicia and started to walk away. Before Scotty could argue Ahayaki explained “don’t worry Shandi harpa will take good care of your horse feed her good food and brush her clean.” Scotty couldn’t argue with that. They walked a little further and soon they came to the biggest tent in the village. It was made of bearskin and fish scales that shimmered in the sunlight. On it was painted in red the japanese symbol for chief. While Scotty was admiring the beautiful tepee, he hadn’t noticed that Ahayaki had ran ahead and was already standing at the entrance flap tapping his foot with impatience.
Scotty ran up as fast as he could and they walked in together.
The inside 0f the tent looked almost identical to the throne room in the castle where Scotty’s father lived. Lined with jewels and a velvet carpet was trailing up to the throne where the chief sat and stared down on entering subjects.
“Son!” The chief boomed.
“yyes father?” Ahayaki sounded just like Scotty when he was talking to his father.
“Who is this?!”
“Ttthhhis is Prince Scotty Scatterkoff of the kingdom of Zilloplaq, sir!”
The chief went silent.
After several seconds of lull Ahayaki’s father said “Are you sure?”
“Yes father.”
“Really?”
“Yes,”
“oh.”
He pondered this for a moment.
“This scrawny, noodle-like, boney, feeble, sluggish, weak, excuse for a—”
Scotty started to feel hot. He wanted to go up there and say something smart sounding, that was sure to confuse him. But he pushed away the idea. One punch from this big guy would send him flying over the mountains of Eternal Highness, So he just stood there instead.
“yyyes father.”
“Very well!”
“Yyyes father?”
“Let’s have a feast!”
“Wwhat?”
“Indeed!”
“actually…” Scotty cut in. “I should be on my way.”
“Not so!”
“yes actually”
“NO!”
“YES!”
“YES!”
The room went silent.
“WHAT???!!!!!” The chief started to freak out as he was trying to comprehend what had just happened.
“What happened?” Ahayaki asked Scotty quietly.
“It’s called reverse psychology.” He whispered back.
Ahayaki looked confused but he said nothing more. By now the chief was running around and trampling his servants.
“Well i’d better go i have to be moving quickly.”
“Goodbye!” Ahayaki waved. “Visit on your way back!”

Scotty smiled and walked out the tent flap. He walked through the village until he found Felicia and thanked Shandi Harpa for her help. He quickly saddled Felicia up and clopped away from the village.

New story pt. 2

here is a continuation of my last post. enjoy!

That night Scotty kept on pondering the meaning of life. Why was he alive? Why was he skinny? why does he like mollusks? They’re actually quite flavorful if you add some salt. And by some i mean maybe ten pounds or so. The bed started to get cold. Scotty started wishing that Fierce hadn’t left the other day. Fierce was Scotty’s pet cat. Or he was. He always kept the bed warm. He probably didn’t expect Scotty to come home that night and had wandered off to find a new owner to care for him. Scotty missed his cat. Who wouldn’t? Though it is depressing we’re getting away from the real storyline. It was that on that particular night that something amazing happened. What could be so amazing you ask? That night one of the king’s messengers arrived at the door. Scotty pretended to be asleep so his mom got it.
“Scotty!!” His mom called.
“I’m asleep!!” He called back.
“Oh sure you are!”
“Why?!”
“because if you don’t come down within five seconds no mollusks for breakfast tomorrow!” Scotty was down the stairs in less than a millisecond.
“Hello prince Scotty!” The messenger bowed. “I hate to ask but why aren't you in the palace with your father?”
“I wanted to umm…. improvise.” Scotty responded.
“G’day ma’am.” He greeted his mom with an Australian accent.
Scotty cleared his throat. “So… back to the point mister Australia or whatever, but what's the point of this visit?”
The man pondered his question as if Scotty was a master of riddles.
“ah! yes!”
His response made Scotty jump back with surprize.
“My visit consists of two reasons. First, Ma’am, the king wishes to see you.”
“Oh! Very well.” Scotty’s mother stalked from the room and out to the castle.
“And you your highness Prince Scotty Scatterkoff Of A Most High and Mighty name…”
“yeah yeah i get it..” Scotty sighed and looked down eyes wide with shock as he stared at the man who was now on his knees and curtseying dramatically. “And please don’t call me high and mighty.”
“As you wish sir.” He stood up and brushed himself off. “As i was saying, the king wants you to go on a quest!”
Scotty fell backwards. “No! Not my dad! You must be confused with someone else!”
The messenger checked a list he was holding. “Nope! it says right here!” He pointed to the list.               Part of the list was,
              Quest list
                             Ari Pakistan
                         Asanet Peco
                         Beckey Night
                         Bo Garett
                         Cari Garett
                         Connell Lakinok
                         Cracker Burpi
                         Danni Friend
                         Derk Smiley
                         Doker Smiley
                         Sack Happy
His royal highness Prince Scotty Scatterkoff
And that was just the first page. Scotty blinked with astonishment. He really was on there! Scotty fell backwards, again.
“Come, come!” The man prompted “We have to go and get your instructions from your father!” He lifted Scotty off the ground and dusted him off with his feather duster that he pulled out of nowhere.
“Come, come!!” He lifted Scotty into his carriage and then climbed in himself. The reins flicked and the horses set off. They actually were quite short for horses. Then Scotty realized they were ponies. His messy hair blew in the wind. The entire town curtseyed or bowed as he passed. His light skin suddenly turned the brightest color of red and pink mixed together. He pulled his cloak hood over his face to keep away his embarrassment.
The horses pulled up to a large castle big enough to hold one million people the size of Rhode Island! Ok, maybe that was pushing it, but a lot of people! The very first party held there included 567 people and 67 servants. Scotty walked into the palace and an enormous fanfare greeted his arrival. It was actually quite annoying if you think about it. Large horns blasting in your ears, servants cheering your name, that sort of thing. He walked through the stables and out into the main hall. There were banners of all colors hanging from the walls and banisters. The throne room was lined with gold and jewels. The throne was made of silver and the cushion was velvet.
“Son!” Boomed the king enthusiastically. “I hope you know why you are here?”
“yy..yes father!” Scotty shivered.
“well Marvin my messenger here, brought you here for a quest!”
“yyess father i know..”
“NO YOU DON’T!!”
“yyy..yes father i don’t know..” Scotty stuttered.
“Very good..” The king pondered the thought for a minute. He may be the king and have a lot of power, but naturally he wasn’t very bright. “You are here because i am sending you on a quest!”
“very well father..”
“A quest, To rescue a princess!”
“Yes father..”
“well off you go then! Marvin has a map for you.”
“yes father…”
Scotty walked out of the room to the courtyard where Marvin was waiting.
“Here is your map sire,” Marvin handed his a very complex piece of paper that looked like it should say something in the strange inscriptions, but Scotty couldn’t tell what they meant. After a very long and confusing explanation from Marvin of where Scotty should go, he was sent on his way on a small bay pony named Felicia.

After a while Scotty stopped for a rest to eat some of the rye bread he had packed, as well as some carrots for his pony. After a small nap they were on their way again. Out of nowhere a shadow came from behind a tree and tackled Scotty off his horse shouting, “Look out!”

New story intro

                NEW STORY!

  • Here is a new story i have been working on.
  • Leave your opinion in the comments! ;P

Once upon a time. A classic introduction to a great story. But then again, if that was the beginning to this tale, it would make it less interesting now don’t you think? It would sound like the classic princess story who gets locked in a tower and waits for her true love to save her. That's not the case here. True love and all won't happen yet. Otherwise it would be awkward for our 14 year old hero. So instead of “Once upon a time” how about we start it like this.

The dragon was winning, there was no doubt about that. It was mainly because a weedy 14 year old teenager was fighting it whose tangly, blondish hair would stick out in every which way if he didn’t have on a hat. Over the shouts and jeers of his other classmates, Prince Scotty Scatterkoff could just faintly hear the slight encouragement that came from his father. Things like, “You stink at this!!”, “You call yourself a knight?!”, and “Wow! Some prince you turned out to be!” you know the usual. On the other hand he knew she was cheering for him but Scotty could not hear the cries of actual encouragement that was coming from his best friend, Indigo. She was, after all, cheering as loud as she possibly could. It was always the same. Final exam day was the day in every knight’s life that everyone dreads. The day where young knights in training, or KITs, had fight their first life size replica of an adult dragon. But this time it didn’t have a manned flamethrower in the back so it should have been easy. But it wasn’t. Let’s just say that the hero of our story wasn’t the best fighter. The only fight he had won in his ENTIRE LIFE was when he was fighting a wood dragon wyrmling. only because it didn’t breath fire and was much smaller than this. So there he was. His father screaming his head off. The dragon ended up being dragged back into its enclosure after the time limit was up.
He walked gloomily over to Indigo and she patted him on the back. “don’t worry!” she encouraged “you’ll do better next time. It’s only your… ummm…. 5th try right? You can still try again!”
“Sure… real encouraging..” Scotty mumbled. “I just have to face it!”
“face what?”
Scotty smacked himself.
“Face what????” Indigo urged.
“That i'm not cut out to be a knight!!!!!”
Silence.
“Let alone the prince!!”
“You know some of the greatest warriors started small.” Indigo responded.
“yeah but…” Scotty wasn’t sure how to answer to her comment.
“Well i have to go help my mom with the baking!” Indigo sang. “Those croissants won’t roll themselves!” She ran off toward the bakery. Scotty thought long and hard about what his friend had said. Maybe she was right! Maybe he could be a hero! Unless, of course, he actually tried to be one.

BYE BYE FRIENDS!!!!!

i hope you liked this small part of my new story!
